MARY HIERHOLZER — writer & editor
Mary is a full-time communications specialist, and a dance writer based in Greater Boston. Originally from the Central Valley of California, Mary danced ballet in her youth, but quit prior to high school due to injury. She turned her focus to writing, and has been a writer for almost 10 years. Her passion for ballet did not fade, despite no longer seriously dancing. She reviewed ballets in student newspapers for eight years, and after graduating from Gordon College in 2015, she combined her lifelong loves of writing, ballet and the arts professionally, covering ballet for The New Boston Post for 16 months. Mary is an avid lover of history and the arts, with particular interests in intellectual history, European history, early church history, fine art and classical music. Mary holds a bachelor’s degree in history, with a minor in communication arts.
